This is a stylized fish hook pendant. For the Maori the Hei-Matau is a representation of fertility, strength and prosperity. It is believed to bring you luck when you travel over water. It is also a symbol of power and authority. It is also a symbol of power and authority.
Each piece is crafted by hand so even if following the same design, no two pieces will ever be exactly the same. The pendant comes complete with a traditional style cord and a bag.
